The headliner of a UNC defense that ranked # 2 in the nation in 1997, Brian Simmons was drafted in the first round by Cincinnati and continues to be the cornerstone of the Bengal's linebacker corp. This 10K gold Jostens ring was given to Simmons for playing in the 1994 Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. On the top shank is the Tarheel "NC" logo consisting partially of diamonds. On the left shank are the words, "State Champs UNC vs Texas 1994" and on the right shank is the player's name "Simmons" and number "41". The size 14 ring is in excellent to near-mint condition.
