HOFer Roberto Alomar was a well-traveled MLB second baseman who was a 12-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glove award recipient, and won a pair of World Series championships with the Toronto Blue Jays. During his five seasons in Toronto, he batted .307, and made the A.L. All-Star team and won a Gold Glove every year. The first of his back-to-back World Series titles came in 1992 when the Blue Jays won the A.L. East with a 91-71 regular-season record before defeating the Oakland A’s in the ALCS and beating the Atlanta Braves in the World Series. This is a World Series trophy, produced by Balfour, that was made for Hall of Fame second baseman after he led the Blue Jays to their first ever title with a six-game series win over the Braves. Printed on the gold band surrounding the base is: "WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS TORONTO BLUE JAYS 1992 ROBERTO ALOMAR." The press pins for the Jays and Braves are proudly displayed at the bottom with the pennants of all 26 (at that time) major league teams surrounding the gold crown and silver baseball in the center alphabetically with the American League on the left and the National League on the right. Note: Minor repair work is needed on the Texas Rangers flag piece which is no longer attached to its pole. The trophy measures approximately 12 inches tall at its peak and is in NM to MT condition. The Texas Rangers pennant detached but still present and can be easily affixed. This item will require additional shipping charges due to size, weight and fragility.
