On the front left tail of the Elliott Maddox jersey is a Wilson manufacturer's tag size “40” with washing instructions and a Steiner hologram. In the rear collar is a strip tag that reads, “Maddux 81 2” embroidered in navy blue. Across the chest reads “NEW YORK” and across the back is the coach number “6” done in navy blue on white tackle twill. Maddux signed the front of the jersey in blue pen and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged and was presented to us as coaches-worn. On the front left tail of the Pat Clements jersey is a Wilson manufacturer’s tag with a Steiner hologram serial number “12235” and washing instructions. Attached is a hanging flag tag that reads “42 CARE ON REVERSE”. In the rear collar is a strip tag that reads, “Clements 87 2” embroidered in navy blue. On the left sleeve is number “1” in navy blue tackle twill commemorating Billy Martin. Across the chest reads “NEW YORK” and across the back is player number “6” both done in navy blue on white tackle twill. Clements wore this jersey in 1987-88 and was a holdover in inventory when the commemorative “1” patch was added in 1990. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
