Soft-spoken HOFer Billy Williams let his bat do the talking for 18 seasons. His picture perfect swing produced 2,711 hits, a .290 career average and 426 home runs. The six-time All-Star was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1961. In the neck of the jersey is the "Wilson" label which includes the size, "40." Below this is a white label reading "26 Set 2 40" which has been done in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number, set number and size, respectively. On the left front tail is the year tag "72" done in blue chain stitch. On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue logo and on the back is the player number "26" which is made of blue tackle twill. There is a large autograph on the left front of the shirt which grades an 8. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
