Although he had a relatively short career in baseball, Johnny Blanchard had his fair share of excitement. Playing with the New York Yankees during five of their 1960's World Series appearances, his post-season batting average was .345. This beautiful charm was presented to Blanchard's wife after the team captured the 1963 American League title. On the front of the charm are her initials "N B" (Nancy Blanchard) surrounded by eight small stones that are in the team colors of red, white, and blue. The reverse of the charm has the Yankee logo with a red, white, and blue top hat. Surrounding the logo are the words "American League Champions 1963". The 14K gold charm is in excellent+ to near mint condition with no evident flaws. Our consignor was given this piece directly from Blanchard.
