Babe Ruth led the Yankee juggernaut of the 1920s and '30s and is pictured here with members of the 1930 roster. The 5" x 7" photograph shows "The Babe" and teammates posed on the steps of a monument, and has been notated "scene at Lookout MA, 1930" in the upper right corner. Ruth has signed it in fountain pen with the signature rating an 8 due in part to the pen he was using running a little light on ink. It has been mounted on heavy stock and gives a near-mint appearance. It is consigned by the nephew of Dusty Cooke (the original recipient), a Yankee teammate of Ruth from 1930-32, who also provided us with the Ruth/Gehrig photo offered elsewhere in this auction. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
