Few players in recent memory have had such an immediate impact on the game of baseball as Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Mike Trout. Since his first call up to the Major Leagues in 2011 at the age of 19, Trout’s legend has grown exponentially as he has won 3 MVP awards, 2 All-Star Game MVP awards and appears to only be getting better. The electrifying five tool player currently stands as a strong candidate to hit career plateaus including the 500 Home Run club, 3,000 hits, and first-ballot Hall of Fame status. In 2018, Trout belted 39 home runs with a .312 average. Offered is a photo-matched Trout bat from home runs #20, 21, 22 and 23 of the 2018 season. Manufacturer: Old Hickory Model Number: MT27* Labeling Period: 2017 Length: 33.5 inches Weight: 32.7 ounces Wood: Maple Finish: Black/Natural. The bat shows evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. The handle has been taped approximately 9.5” in a spiral pattern with Lizard Skin tape and there is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. Trout signed the barrel in silver marker with the added inscriptions “4 HR vs Sea HR” “#20-21 6-11 HR #22-23 6-12 18 G/U” and in our opinion the signature rates a strong 8. Affixed to the knob is an Anderson Authentics hologram serial number “3591”. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 9.5, an Anderson Authentics LOA, multiple Resolution LOA’s confirming the matches and a Full LOA from JSA.
