In 1936, Honus Wagner was one of the first five members elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Wagner enjoyed an illustrious career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, winning a World Series championship and earning eight NL batting titles, which is tied for the most ever. Wagner was named to both the MLB’s All-Century Team and All-Time Team and his No. 33 is retired by the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise. Inside on the rear leather sweatband is a red “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag. On the inside of the cap shell towards the front reads, “Wagner” written in marker. On the front of the black wool cap, a yellow Pirates “P” logo is embroidered. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as coaches-worn by Wagner and in our opinion, shows appropriate wear. The cap was originally sourced from a gentleman who has had it in his possession for over 25 years.
