Griffin was selected first overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. Blake Griffin played college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners. He was named the Associated Press, the John Wooden Award, the Naismith Award and the Sporting News player of the year for the 2008–2009 college basketball season. On the front tail is the "NIKE" manufacturer's size “50” tag. Attached is another tag reading "LENGTH +2." Screened in the collar of the jersey is the "NIKE" logo and "MADE IN USA." Across the front is "OKLAHOMA." Below on front and on the back is the player number "23." Across the back is the player name "B. GRIFFIN." All lettering and numbering is done in burgundy tackle twill. On the front collar is the official "OU" embroidered logo patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
