Si Johnson was the last pitcher to strike out Babe Ruth and Babe Dahlgren was the player who replaced Lou Gehrig to end his consecutive games played streak at 2,130. These two Rawlings baseballs have been single-signed by both on the sweet spot in blue ink with Johnson adding the inscription “May 29 1935” and in our opinion the Johnson signature rates a 4 and the Dahlgren signature rates a near 9. The Dahlgren ball shows moderate to heavy spotting and staining that does affect the signature. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
