Said Simon after completing the brilliantly colored oil on canvas, "What really appealed to me was the chance to become involved with my heritage." "Jewish Pride" is the original oil of a widely owned lithograph. Featured are baseball HOFers Sandy Koufax and Hank Greenberg, NBA Top 50 great and HOFer Dolph Schayes, pro football HOFer Sid Luckman who once passed for seven touchdowns in an NFL championship game, former lightweight and welterweight boxing champion Barney Ross and the incomparable swimming Olympian Mark Spitz, winner of 11 medals, including 9 gold. The piece is signed by the artist and is beautifully framed 38-3/4" x 50-3/4" in an very handsome polished white wood.
