On September 24, 1957 Ted Williams grounded out off pitcher Hal Griggs and that would end Williams’ streak of reaching first base 16 consecutive times which is still a post 1900 MLB record. This Rawlings manufactured Brown OAL baseball has been signed in blue ink by Williams on the sweet spot and also Griggs. Griggs added the inscription "9-24-57" and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 8.5. Minor toning is present. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
