The approximately 37” side saddle putter reads “LINE RITE” on the handle and “TRUE TEMPER” on the piece below the leather grip. The head of the putter reads “Cheetah” by the manufacturer “LYNX”. Accompanied by a letter dated “October 19, 1996” with Sam Snead letterhead. The letter reads, “This side-saddle putter was made by me in my workshop at my home in Hot Springs, Virginia, and was one of the putters I used on the P.G.A. Senior Tour in winning six United States Senior P.G.A. Championships and five World Senior P.G.A. Championships, as well as the first two Senior Championships organized for the Senior P.G.A. Tour, “The Legends of Golf.” The letter continues to read, I have been fortunate enough to hold the world record number of tournament wins (185), as well as having player on ten Ryder Cup Teams. I was privileged to be the captain of four Ryder Cup Teams and the first person to break 60, shooting a 59 in 1959.” It continues listing his career accomplishments. The letter is signed in black marker and in our opinion rates an 8. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA for the signature. Further accompanied by an LOA from Jack Snead of Sam Snead Golf Inc.
