An undersized kid with oversized dreams Rudy repeatedly was told he was too small to play football. At Notre Dame Ruettiger was part of the scout team and finally on the last play of the final game of Ruettiger's senior year coach Dan Devine put Ruettiger in for a play. Ruettiger made the most of it recording a tackle and sending his family and friends into a frenzy and prompting his teammates to carry him off amidst cheers from the Fighting Irish faithful. Ruettiger's story was turned into a movie Rudy and today Ruettiger is a popular motivational speaker. Rudy Ruettiger has hand signed this Notre Dame full size helmet.
