When dribbling wizard and Hall of Famer Marques Haynes left the Globetrotters in 1953, he founded his own barnstorming team, the Harlem Magicians, and the team has been around comedy basketball in one form or another ever since. On the rear inside tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer’s tag with size “40”. Adjacent is a wash instructions tag. Across the front is "MAGICIANS" in black on white tackle twill. On front is the “Magician” team logo embroidered in white and orange chain stitch on black tackle twill. On back is the player number "2-1/2" in black on white tackle twill. Haynes has autographed the front in black marker adding the inscription “2-1/2” rating an 8-9. Inside the rear waistband of the shorts is the "Rawlings" manufacturer’s tag with size “32”. Adjacent is a wash instructions tag. Between these two tags was an additional tag which is unreadable. On each leg of the shorts is the team “Top Hat” logo patch embroidered in white and orange chain stitch on black tackle twill. Haynes has signed the front in silver marker adding the inscription “2-1/2” rating an 8. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
