From a time when horseracing held a very prominent position in American culture, comes this table top game entitled "Steeplechase." It sits 17" high and 14" wide and contains four colored balls that raced down the interior tracks, which are set in front of a color background. When a penny was inserted and the lever pulled the horses began to race. The banter printed inside invites you to play "a game of science and mathematics" and that the "machine is for amusement only, no rewards or prizes paid." Currently, it is not in working order, however, all mechanical parts inside look to be intact and the machine could likely be fixed. In very good to excellent condition overall showing general wear.
