Offered here is a lock of hair from the head of George Washington. The hair is in an enclosed clear pouch that is attached to a typed and signed letter from handwriting expert Charles Hamilton. The hair is said to have come from the Custis-Powell family, who were related to Martha Washington through her first marriage. The letter explains whom the hair was passed on to over the years. The item comes with a certificate of authenticy.
