Spanning more than twenty years, "Buffalo Bill" Cody entertained the world with his "Wild West Show." He was able to captivate audiences with cowboys, Native American chiefs, buffalo, bucking broncos, and stagecoach wagons. Offered here are three playing cards, double matted in beige on orange, with a dark brown wooden frame. They are the king of clubs, the ten of clubs, and the queen of hearts. The front of the ten of clubs is stamped with a blue "Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show $1 Souvenir" stamp, with the year "1884." The backs of the cards are visible, because the matting was cut, and an additional piece of glass was added. The backs of the face cards have a similar souvenir stamp, but in black, and have the year "1885." The backs of the cards also have names written in black pen. "Sitting Bull" is on the back of the queen, "Annie Oakley" is on the ten, and "Buffalo Bill Cody" on the king. These cards are in very good condition with some black smudging, and yellowing from age.
