WWII general, commanded Third Army. ADS "Geo. S. Patton" on verso, 8" x 12.5", school essay written by then-14-year-old Patton entitled, "The Story of a Greek Soldier," showing his early fascination with the military, specifically, "The famous march of ten thousand Greeks into Persia ... described by Xenophone of the generals, in his book called 'The Anabasis," in part: "...though this march of the ten thousand Greeks in itself was not a very great epoch in history, it showed to Greece the weakness of the Persian Empire, which though very vast was because of that vastness, weak ..." Written while attending Stephen Cutter Clark's Classical School in Pasadena, California essay offers especially dark, bold, pristine signature and entire writing, teacher's corrections and notations added in another ink, and incredible one-of-a-kind insight into Patton's early military interest. This lot comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
