"The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings" was the debut film of Director John Badham, who would later direct "Saturday Night Fever" and "Blue Thunder." It is a fictional journey of the trials and tribulations of a rebelious team of the best players from baseball's Negro Leagues. The movie showcases the likes of Billy Dee Williams, James Earl Jones, Richard Pryor, and Stan Shaw, who played Esquire Joe Callaway, whose movie-worn full uniform is offered here. The jersey is made of grey flannel, and has large yellow, red, and blue stripes across the front with three tackle twill stars on the upper left shoulder. On the back in dark blue felt lettering is "ESQUIRE JOE" and beneath it, his number "3." The pants are also made of grey flannel and have yellow, red, and blue stripes. The lot also comes with a full-size Bingo Long full-color cartoon movie poster, measuring 27-1/2" x 41". The uniform comes with a certificate of authenticity from Hollywood Movie Costumes.
