To most basketball fans, Top-50 player Bill Russell was the greatest defensive center in the history of the game. His actions on the court quickly led to the powerful play which began the Celtics dynasty. Russell led the team to eight consecutive NBA championships from 1959 to 1966. Few can forget his epic battles against Wilt Chamberlain. Russell earned league MVP in five seasons and made 12 trips to the All-Star Game. Offered here are early '60s era Bill Russell, size 18-1/2 signature model, black and yellow canvas basketball sneakers. They were designed specifically for Russell and were game worn. The shoes show game use and come with a COA from Russell's teammate, Sam Jones.
