The Celtics dynasty of the '50s had legendary talent, one of which was Sam Jones. Nicknamed "Mr. Clutch" by his teammates, he was just that, winning 10 NBA titles in his 12 years with the Celtics. Jones was known for his mid-range jumpers, quickness and ability to create off the dribble. Jones accumulated 15,411 career points and shot .803 from the stripe during his illustrious career. Jones was a five-time All-Star, a member of the All-NBA Second Team three times and was elected to the HOF in 1983. This is one of the finest Sam Jones jerseys in existence. On the inside center tail is the "Horace Partridge Athletic Goods" manufacturer's tag with jersey size "44." The city name "Boston" is on the front and the number "24" is on the front and rear. All letters and numbers are done in white tackle twill. The jersey and shorts show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
