Pete Sampras surged onto the ATP Tour in 1990 when he became the youngest-ever U.S. Open men's champion, and he would go on to almost indisputably become the greatest tennis player ever to hit the court. Offered here is the appropriate centerpiece for any tennis collection, a Pete Sampras match-worn tennis shirt. The Nike shirt features the Nike logo sewn onto the left breast and embroidered onto the right sleeve. In the neck are the Nike manufacturer's tag and the size tag "L." The shirt shows good match use and comes with a letter of authenticity detailing how it was directly obtained from Sampras by a reception desk worker at the hotel where Sampras stayed during the 1994 ATP Championship in Frankfurt, Germany. The shirt also comes with a Sampras-signed double-CD case of The Who's rock opera "Tommy" with a German sticker on the front; the hotel employee wanted to get Sampras's autograph and the CD case was nearby, so he had Sampras sign the liner notes. Sampras's black Sharpie signature rates a near 10. The signature comes with a PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
