Jesse Owens upstaged Adolf Hitler by winning four gold medals in the 1936 Olympic Games, which took place in Germany during the height of Nazi Power. In a moment the world will never forget, Hitler did not acknowledge Owens when he was awarded the gold as he felt him "inferior." This First Day Cover, produced in honor of the 1976 games, has been signed "Jesse Owens 36 Olympics" in black marker, rating a 10. It comes ready for display with two trading cards and an 8" x 10" photograph of the late track and field great. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
