The 1985-86 Montreal Canadiens finished the regular season in the middle of the pack with most people not expecting any playoff success. The team managed to skate through the playoffs behind the relatively unknown goaltender Patrick Roy, who would eventually lead them to the Stanley Cup. This version of the Stanley Cup is made of nickel alloy and was manufactured by Boffey Silversmiths of Montreal. The bowl, measuring 4" in diameter, has the engraved "From Stanley Of Preston" bird and crown logo. The total height of the cup is 13", and the diameter of the base is 6." The front of the statue is engraved "Club De Hockey Canadien 1985-86", and has the names of the president, general manager, coaches, trainers, doctors, and all 30 players. This trophy is in near mint condition and comes in its original black box with a silver and orange NHL logo.
