Regardless of the fact that he was unfairly depicted as a villain in the U.S. because Hitler used his image and crown as Aryan propoganda, Max Schmeling conducted himself as a gentleman and sportsman. In fact, years later it was revealed that Schmeling risked his own life by hiding Jewish children in his hotel room and helping them escape Germany. Paolino Uzcudun faced Schmeling on June 27, 1929 in Yankee Stadium. This is an un-used full ticket from the event that ended as a 15 round decision in Schmeling's favor. This ticket is in very good condition, with the exception of slight corner wear and some glue residue and a small tear on the back. On July 3rd, 1931, Schmeling fought Young Stribling and knocked him out in the 15th round. The un-used full ticket from that event held in Cleveland, Ohio, is in excellent condition, with very little wear and only one very small tear. On February 13th, 1934, Steve Hamas defeated Schmeling in the 12th round in the Philadelphia Convention Hall. This un-used full ticket is also in near mint condition with only slight wear around the edges.
