Two fine pieces of framed ephemera related to Babe Ruth's earliest days in baseball while still playing with the Boston Red Sox. The first is an original front page of the "Boston American" newspaper dated "June 11, 1908." It is from the days when there was no CNN and no late breaking news, which meant that the all important ball game scores were disseminated in a late day edition of the local newspaper. This 1908 front page is in excellent condition and is framed to 16" x 20". The second piece offered in this lot is from 1915 and is a large size supplement that was likely printed just before that year's World Series as it depicts both the Sox as well as the NL Champion Phillies. Babe Ruth is among the players pictured in the 19" x 29" display. This piece is in good overall condition with rips and tears visible, some of which have been fixed with tape.
