"Naps" was the third name assigned to the professional baseball team in Cleveland and served as their moniker from 1903-1914. They counted among their ranks some of the greatest names in baseball history including Nap Lajoie, Addie Joss, Elmer Flick, Cy Young, and the infamous Joe Jackson. It is unknown if this button would have been presented to a member of the team or a loyal supporter, but it was meant to be placed in a button hole similar to a modern day "stud" that one would wear with a tuxedo. It reads, "Naps-Cleveland" along the top edge and has the league "AL" in larger letters below. All of this sits above a pair of crossed bats and glove. It is in very good condition showing no more tarnish than one would expect considering its age, and due to its small size and fragile nature it is surely one of the few or only that has survived.
