Tony Conigliaro authored this autobiography entitled, "Seeing It Through, The Story of a Comeback," in 1970, two years after an errant pitch hit him with such force that it shattered his cheekbone and left his eyesight so damaged that he was forced to sit out for the 1968 season. He returned in 1969 and put on an awesome show, winning Comeback of the Year honors. His vision still impaired, Tony C could never quite get it all together and he left the game completely the following year. After a second attempt at a comeback, he suffered a heart attack in 1975 that left him all but incapacitated and kept him sheltered from the public eye until his death. This first edition is in near-mint condition and comes complete with dust jacket (which shows only minor wear) and has been signed on the first inside page in felt tip pen rating a perfect 10. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
