One of Ty Cobb's smartest approaches to baseball was his psychological intimidation. As long as Cobb's opponents thought he was a monster, the easier time he had manipulating them. Offered here is a hand written letter by the "Georgia Peach." This letter was written by Cobb on Hotel Riverside stationery. Dated "1/21/54," Cobb was replying to a man named Pat who asked him to sign some pictures. He thanks him for his interest in the signatures and tells him he feels honored that someone would want the signatures, but also lets him know he's asking for too many. The letter is written in green pen and signed, "Sincerely, Ty Cobb" with a signature that rates an 8. The letter is in EX-NM condition with one crease and about a dozen small brown paper remnants on the back, which do not affect the letter. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
