Walt Alston accomplished a Hall of Fame career as manager of both the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. On original stationary from the Montreal Royals International League team, is this hand-written letter signed by Alston. The letter is in response to fan mail he received that criticized his decision to bunt in order to advance the runner in the ninth inning of a game at which the fan was present. The letter is in excellent to near mint condition. The lot also comes with the original sent envelope, stamped with Montreal postage, as well as two wire photos of Alston, one as a young Brooklyn manager in 1953, and the other as a much older Los Angeles manager in 1975. The signature is in blue pen, rating an 8, and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
