Known as "The Big Train", Hall of Famer Walter Johnson pitched 21 seasons for the Washington Senators. This personal check dated August 17, 1939, was made out to L.E. Johnson in the amount of $80.50. The Germantown Bank of Maryland issued the check, which was filled out and signed by Johnson in black pen. The check is in VG-EX condition with three creases, a small tear, and some browning from age. It is one of the few large-sized checks to come from the estate. The autograph rates an 8 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
