The Mets and Red Sox met in the 1986 World Series. Although a Boston win looked to be a sure thing the Mets just would not be counted out. The Sox came so close that their fans could taste victory, but a ball between the legs of Bill Buckner set up the Mets win in Game 7. Offered here are team signed baseballs from each club. 29 World Champions from New York have signed this ONL Feeney ball in blue ink, including Strawberry, Gooden, Dykstra, Darling, Carter, McDowell, Johnson, Wilson, Hernandez and others. The signatures rate from 7 to 9 and the ball shows toning in some spots. 28 members of their rivals, the Red Sox, have signed this OAL Brown ball, including McNamara (CH), Clemens, Boggs, Evans, Seaver, Morgan and Rice among others. The signatures rate 5 to 9 with most being about a 7 and the ball shows an even tone. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
