Gwynn played all 20 of his seasons with the San Diego Padres, earning himself an unbelievable .338 career batting average, as well as over 3,000 hits. This lot includes 60 baseballs, all of which have been single-signed and numbered in blue marker by Gwynn. Each of the near mint commemorative balls features a photo of Gwynn, in addition to his number "19." His 3,000th hit took place on Friday, August 6, 1999 at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, which is also printed on the side panel of each ball. The signatures average near 6s, due to heavy smudging. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
