Slugger Mark McGwire smashed a fourth-inning solo homer off the Cubs' Steve Trachsel to earn him the record for the most single-season home runs at the time. This is a hand-painted baseball by artist Gregg Packer, the Art Curator for the Ted Williams Museum in Florida. This unique NM-MT ball has been painted on both sides. On one panel is a color portrait of McGwire wearing his Cardinals batting helmet, and on the other is the Cardinals team logo. It is also signed by McGwire in blue pen, rating an 8. The signature comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
