A rookie for the Red Sox took the mound in Yankee Stadium on the final day of the 1961 season. Tracy Stallard gave up the only run scored in the game to Roger Maris in the fourth inning. Stallard explains the entire scenario of giving up the record-breaking home run ball, which broke Babe Ruth's single-season home run record, in great detail along the entire panel and half of the opposite panel in black pen, and is very rare. This NM OAL Budig ball is signed by Stallard in black pen. His writing is slightly smudged in two areas. His signature rates a 9 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
