Jim Rice had big shoes to fill when he stepped into the role of right fielder for the Boston Red Sox, a position that had previously been played by Ted Williams and Carl Yazstrzemski. He did a more than adequate job becoming a favorite among fans in Boston where he played all of his 16 Major League seasons. This Rice bat shows evidence of tremendous game-use with ball, hit, and rack marks visible on all sides of the barrel. The handle has been taped for grip and pine tar appears on the upper portion. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: C243, Labeling Period: 1986-89, Length: 34-3/4 inches, Weight: 33 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Natural. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
