Former Yankee slugger Alfonso Soriano came up through their farm system and matured into a superstar before being dealt to the Rangers for Arod. This bat, dating to his latest 2003 campaign, shows evidence of tremendous game use and has been caked in pine tar at mid-barrel. Ball hit, ball transfer, rack, and cleat marks are scattered about the barrel, and the handle has been taped in criss-cross fashion extending a full 11 inches. Production information including length, weight, date of manufacture, model number, and production number have been written in the slightly cupped end in traditional SAM Bat fashion.
