A player cursed with more talent than self-control, Dwight "Doc" Gooden was the ace of the Mets 1986 World Champion staff. The left front tail features the "W.A. Goodman & Sons" manufacturer's label with wash instructions and size "42." Across the front of the jersey in script-style letters is the team name "Mets." The player number "16" appears on the front and back of the jersey. On the back on a grey nameplate is the player name "Gooden." All letters and numbers are done in blue on orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "25th Anniversary" team embroidered patch. This jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
