Forever known for his trademark pitch, the knuckleball, ageless wonder and HOFer Phil Niekro pitched until he was 48. Over those 24 seasons he amassed numerous records and is a 300-game winner. He will always be remembered by Atlanta fans for his loyalty to the franchise when the team struggled in the late '70s and early '80s. Inside the neck is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions and jersey size "42." On the left front tail is a tackle twill year patch reading "80." Across the front in script-style lettering is the city name "Atlanta" and on the front and back the number "35" appears. All letters and numbers are done in blue on white tackle twill. The name "Niekro" appears on a blue nameplate in dark blue tackle twill letters. There is an autograph on the front of the jersey that rates a 9 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
