After a Hall of Fame career, the late Eddie Mathews managed the Braves from 1972-74. His 1973 team is the only team in history to feature three players who each hit 40 homeruns in a season, one of which was Hank Aaron. In the neck of Eddie Mathews' manager's jersey is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag with jersey size "44" and wash instructions. Below the manufacturer's tag is a blue tackle twill patch reading "44-73" denoting jersey size and year, respectively. On the front left tail is another "Sand-Knit" tag reading "Designed & Tailored exclusively for the Atlanta Braves." On the front of this blue road jersey is the team name "Braves." The number "41" appears on the front and rear of the jersey in white on red on white tackle twill. On either sleeve is the "Braves" team logo patch. On the front of the left sleeve is an autograph in blue marker that rates a 7. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
