Often overshadowed by some of the more outspoken players of his era, Billy Williams quietly carved out a Hall of Fame career during his 14 years as a Chicago Cub (inducted 1987). Stitched on the inside neck is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions. The strip tag has been removed because the jersey was sent to the minor leagues. On the left front breast is the circular "Cubs" team logo patch. On the left sleeve is the Chicago Cubs team logo patch. Embroidered on the back of the jersey is the number "26" in blue tackle twill. This circa 1974 jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations other than the removed strip tag.
