In a stretch between 1965 and 1977, HOFer Catfish Hunter never missed a start and was voted to the all-star game eight times. On May 8, 1968 Hunter threw the first American League regular season perfect game in 46 years. Across the front of this vest-style jersey is the team name "Oakland" and on the rear is the number "27." All letters and numbers are done in green on yellow on green tackle twill. On the left front tail is the "McAuliffe" manufacturer's tag with year "'68" and size "44." This was an experimental style jersey which was only used for one season. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
