Rod Carew's seven batting titles put him in the elite company of Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, and Honus Wagner when ranking the game's all-time great hitters. The 18 time All-Star made fine use of this bat during the 1982-83 time frame. It shows evidence of outstanding game-use with ball and hit marks visible on all sides of the barrel. A light coat of pine tar has been applied to the handle, which shows a slight crack that has been repaired. The player number "29" is written on the knob in vintage black marker. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: F147, Labeling Period: 1982-83, Length: 34-1/2 inches, Weight: 31-1/2 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Flame Burned. Also included are a pair of Angels home pants that are signed by Carew on the front in black rating a 9. In the waist is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "32" and player number "29" written in black marker. Next to this is a white label reading "29 84 26" in blue chain stitch. This denotes player number, year, and size, respectively. The pants show nice wear and have team repairs in two places. The bat and autograph each come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
