The definition of "utility man", Sandy Alomar played every position but pitcher and catcher, and in 1971 led the league with 689 at-bats. In the neck is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with jersey size "38." On the left front tail in red chain stitch is the name "Alomar" and "38 71" representing the player name, jersey size and year, respectively. Below this is a white patch with material information and wash instructions. On the left sleeve is the "California Angels" team logo patch. Across the front is the team name "Angels" and the number "2" is on the front and back. The player name has been removed from the back of the jersey. All letters and numbers have been done in red on blue tackle twill. Buttons are used to fasten the jersey down the front. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations other than the removed player name.
