Rod Carew was one of the best base runners and natural hitters of his time. He hit .333 to lead the league in 1978 and also set a record with two triples in the 78 All-Star game. In the neck of this jersey is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions and the size "42." On the front tail is a white patch with the year "78" and the number "2" sewn in blue. Embroidered on the left sleeve is the "Minnesota Twins" team patch. The script-style team name "Twins" is sewn across the front of the jersey while the player number "29" is sewn on both the front and back of the jersey. The name "Carew" appears sewn on the back of the jersey above the number. All the letters and numbers are made of red on navy blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
