The Red Sox of the 1980s were a team that achieved everything except winning the World Series. Future HOFer Wade Boggs and everyday starter Bill Buckner were two players who flourished in that era. Inside the waistband of Boggs' pants is the "Wilson" exclusive manufacturer's label with wash instructions. Attached is a size flag tag marked "33." Adjacent is a white patch reading "26 24" and a similar white patch with year "88." The pants show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. Inside the neck of the undershirt is the "Mizuno" manufacturer's label. On the left breast is the "Mizuno Professional" logo. Written on the back in black marker is "Boggs 20." The shirt has been custom-cut. On the left front tail of the pregame mesh jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's label with wash instructions and size "42." Inside the neck is the "Rawlings" tag with material information and size "42." The name "Red Sox" has been ironed-on the front in red and white letters. On the back is the player name "Buckner" done in white tackle twill.
