A future Hall of Famer, Wade Boggs was gifted with a great eye and a terrific bat. The left front tail of the jersey features the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions and the size "42." Adjacent to this tag is a small white tag reading "Set 1 1987." On the left sleeve is a restored "Fenway Park 75th Anniversary" embroidered patch. The city name "Boston" is on the front of the jersey and the number "26" is on the back, both done in blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations other than the restored patch.
