A very unique opportunity to own a single jersey that was worn by two HOFers. This Boston Red Sox road jersey was worn by Tom Seaver during the '86 season and had the number removed sometime thereafter. Clemens' jerseys were often pilfered and last minute replacements had to be made. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with jersey size "46." Below the manufacturer's tag is a grey tackle twill patch reading "86" denoting the year number 41 Tom Seaver wore the jersey. On the left sleeve is the "Fenway Park 75th Anniversary 1912-1987" patch denoting the year Clemens wore the jersey. Across the front of the jersey is the city name "Boston." The number "21" has been attached to the back of the jersey and upon closer inspection one can see a faint "4" outlined beneath the "2." All letters and numbers have been done in navy blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations other than the number change. The jersey comes with a detailed letter providing excellent provenance.
