Carl Yastrzemski was acknowledged as the finest defensive left fielder of his time and is the only American League player with both 3000 hits and 400 homers. Stitched on the middle front tail is a year tag reading "1978." Adjacent to the year tag is another with the wash instructions. On the inside neck is the "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." manufacturer's tag. "44" is on a small tag immediately below the manufacturer's tag. The team name "Red Sox" is on the front of the jersey and the number "8" is on the back, both done in red on blue tackle twill. There is an autograph on the front of the jersey. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey comes with a PSA/DNA letter.
